Christmas Tree Candle

DIY

I really wanted the Aspen candle that went viral from Homegoods. I could not find it anywhere so I decided to DIY it myself and I think they came out so good!

Supplies

Candle - Fireside glow (silver)

Forest Fur (green)

Candle wax - Paraffin wax (you also can use wax from a thrifted candle)

Candle Wax Dye - Wax dye flakes I have had these for years. They last forever and are great if you make candles often. If you don’t want to invest in candle dyes. A thrifted or dollar store green pillar candle would work just as good.

Candle molds - Christmas tree candle molds

Pre-made mini wax Christmas trees - Forest Fir Votives

Wax for Orniments- Babybel Cheese - you can also find at your local grocery store

Candle flame to attach wax ornaments

Old pot for warming up wax (Thrift store)

Now the question you are all probably wondering is how are these going to burn? Honestly I’m not to sure. This is a craft experiment. I did make sure to use candles that had a nice deep lip. So when the trees burn there is plenty of room for the extra candle wax to go. I decided to just use the original wick on the candle and hope that when the christmas trees burn they don’t drown the wicks. I’m very much a ‘burn the pretty candles’ kind of a girl, especially ones that smell this good, but these are going to be hard to use because they came out so pretty.
